Drew and Fred knocked out a Daikin DR96TN furnace installation in Plymouth - and this one came out clean. The DR96TN runs at 97% AFUE efficiency, which means nearly all of the fuel this system burns actually goes toward heating the home. That's about as good as it gets with a gas furnace.
Here's why that matters. Older furnaces - especially ones pushing 15 to 20 years - often run at 60 to 80% efficiency. A big chunk of the energy you're paying for just escapes out the flue. Upgrading to a unit like this one can put a real dent in monthly heating bills, and the difference adds up fast once the cold sets in.
The white PVC pipes running up through the unit are the intake and exhaust lines - that's one of the signatures of a high-efficiency condensing furnace. Instead of venting hot exhaust gases straight out through a metal flue, the system extracts so much heat from the combustion process that the exhaust cools down enough to vent safely through PVC. It's a detail that separates a true high-efficiency install from a standard replacement.
We take the install side seriously. Everything is routed neatly, connections are solid, and the unit is set up to run the way it was designed to. A furnace is only as good as the installation behind it - a sloppy setup can rob efficiency and cause headaches down the road. That's not how we do things.
With fall here and temperatures dropping across the Plymouth area, timing on a furnace upgrade like this makes a lot of sense. Nobody wants to find out their old unit can't keep up when it's 10 degrees outside.
